New – Order online at Kings Seeds
It’s now possible for each associate member (ie each C&DAHA member) to have a Kings account which should enable you to obtain a discount if you want to order through the year.
Additionally, you’ll be able to complete your autumn catalogue order online rather than fill in the form, which some people may prefer, with the option to have your items delivered to your home.
If you would like the option of purchasing directly, you need to be registered with Kings, which we can do for you. Even though each C&DAHA member is registered with the National Allotment Society (mainly for insurance purposes), it’s a separate list for Kings.
To have yourself registered, please notify Phil by sending an email to .
When you’re Kings account has been created, you’ll receive an email with a password.
Awards for service
Chairman Mike Hunt and retiring committee member Colin Smith were presented with awards at the 2024 AGM.
Mike Hunt received a life time award for over 35 years service.
Colin Smith received a special award for running the Kings Seed scheme, which he’s just handed over. Colin has served on the committee in various roles over the last 40 years and was Treasurer until recently. His wife Rosemary has also been a stalwart, having served for 20 years.
They have shown great dedication towards the successful running of the club, and all that they have done is much appreciated. The Spring newsletter will feature a more in-depth article.
The Cheltenham and District Allotment Holders’ Association (C&DAHA) formed in 1976 when a group of allotment gardeners saw the need to promote the interests of allotment gardeners. C&DAHA consult with the Borough Council on matters of concern such as Terms of Tenancies, rents and site maintenance.
We aim to have representatives from each allotment site on our committee, which meets four times a year to discuss allotment business and to provide a link between Allotment Tenants and the local council.
We offer support, guidance and advice to our members and those with an interest in allotment gardening.
We are affiliated to the National Allotment Society and the Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies which has over 150 member societies.
We hold regular meetings and events at the C&DAHA building, Asquith Road, Cheltenham.
Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them.
